Congratulations to NCI Advisory Board Chair Dr Greg Ayers for being awarded a Monash University Fellowship overnight. These fellowships are given in recognition of distinguished service across arts, science, and industry.
Dr Ayers was recognised for his long scientific career and leadership in CSIRO and the Bureau of Meteorology. He published more than 150 peer-reviewed papers as a research scientist at CSIRO, where he also took on the role of Chief of Marine and Atmospheric Research from 2002 to 2009. He was later CEO of the Bureau of Meteorology from 2009 to 2012. Read more about his distinguished career on the Monash University Roll of Fellows.
Dr Ayers joined NCI as Advisory Board Chair in December 2020.
