NCI is one of more than 20 projects supported by the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS). These projects provide vital research infrastructure for all of Australia’s scientists, from fabrication to data transfer, environmental management, supercomputing, phenomics and much more. NCI and 12 other projects support bushfire research, recovery and resilience through fire modelling, understanding health impacts, monitoring ecosystem recovery and supporting the design of fire-retardant materials.

Many NCI users work on bushfire research using the combination of data and computing power on offer. You can read more about ongoing bushfire model research and earth observation for bushfire monitoring.
