Dear NCI Users,
NCI is in the process of migrating the massdata (mdss) filesystem to new storage infrastructure. The new hardware will grow the disk cache and future expansion capability, improving overall performance and filesystem capacity.
While the migration is performed, massdata will be temporarily unavailable. All data will be migrated by NCI administration staff, and there will be no change to the filesystem structure, contents or mdss commands.
The timetable for the massdata migration is outlined below:
- Thursday 12 November (12:00) – massdata unavailable, migration commences
- Friday 13 November (13:00) – massdata available, migration complete
