Falling Walls Lab Australia is an innovative scientific challenge for young researchers, professionals, entrepreneurs and innovators from all disciplines. Supported by the Australian Academy of Science and the German Embassy in Canberra, Falling Walls gives participants an opportunity to present their ground-breaking research projects, initiatives and business ideas to peers and a distinguished jury. They are each given three minutes on stage to present their work, answering the question “Which are the next walls to fall?”
The aim of the Falling Walls Lab is to foster scientific and entrepreneurial innovations and to promote the exchange between young scholars and professionals emerging from different fields of expertise. Falling Walls Lab Australia will take place on 12 September 2017, at the Shine Dome in Canberra. The most outstanding presenter from each of the dozens of international Falling Wall Labs qualifies to present at the Falling Walls Lab Finale in Berlin on 8 November 2017.
Applications are now open and can be made through the Academy’s website: https://www.science.org.au/opportunities/travel/grants-and-exchange/falling-walls-lab-australia.
