/g/data1 Project Migration – July
NCI is currently planning migration of project data from /g/data1 to the new /g/data1a Lustre file system, which will offer enhanced stability and performance. Migrations are tentatively planned for mid-July. NCI User Services and NCI Research Engagement and Initiatives will be contacting Lead CIs of all /g/data1 projects in late June and early July to confirm migration arrangements and timetables.
Raijin /short Usage
NCI encourages all users to archive or delete non-essential files in your project and user directories on Raijin /short. The /short file system is intended for short-term, temporary storage only. Files on /short are not backed up. Please contact NCI User Support if you require assistance identifying, archiving or cleaning up old or unneeded files in your /short directories.
2017 Partner Scheme Allocations
NCI partner scheme managers are reminded to submit 2017 Q3 allocations for your scheme to NCI User Support – firstname.lastname@example.org. If Q3 allocations have not been provided by 1 July, Q3 project allocations for your scheme will be set to match those from Q2. Note that unused allocations from Q2 cannot be carried forward to later quarters. Partner scheme allocations can be adjusted at any time during the quarter by contacting NCI User Services.
Please contact NCI User Support (email@example.com) if you have questions or require assistance to prepare for the scheduled quarterly maintenance downtime on 3 July.
