Service Charges

Computational Services

Base Rate

The base rate for access to the computational facilities is 4c / core hour on Raijin, reflecting the depreciable value of the infrastructure and NCI’s running costs.

All access charges are determined by factoring the base rate according to a multiplier listed in the tables below.

Base Rate Multiplier Conditions and Comments
Partner Rate

Access to the Partner rate requires a medium-term commitment (up to four years) to NCI by being a signatory to the NCI Collaboration Agreement.

The base multiplier listed is an approximation, given the complexities of the Resource Allocation Model which takes into account the priorities of the Funding Agreement.

Itinerant Rate

A fee-for-service arrangement.
NCMAS and NCI Flagship Scheme Attributed Rate

The rate at which the value of grants under the NCMAS and the NCI Flagship Scheme may be attributed in applications for research funding to granting agencies such as the ARC, and NH&MRC.
